Boozy frosting for 14 cupcakes

Make sure your rum and whipping cream are chilled!

  1. Pour 1 ½ cups cold heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and extract into a stand mixer with the whisk attachment or a medium bowl if using an electric hand mixer. Whip on low and gradually bring up to medium-high speed whipped cream starts to thicken.

  2. Add 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of rum or your favorite liquor or liqueur. until a thick whipped cream forms.

  3. Finish whipping into stiff peaks. Pour into a piping bag and frost your boozy cupcakes. Store any uneaten cupcakes in the fridge for up to 2 days.
